she can be taken in two different ways: the first has her as a teen model, and high school actress. her aunt fell on hard times and caused her to need to find a source for cash flow. following peter's recommendation, she got a job modelling products for stark industries, mostly things that would appeal to a younger demographic. during an attack from the enforcers, where she was the only person in stark industries at the time, she donned an experimental armor suit named 'the iron spider' and stopped them. ever since then she can either stand alongside tony stark as a pro-reg hero or take the suit and support the anti-reg side.
the second would be her being an investigative journalist who has a job with the daily bugle. she started out as an intern before getting j.j. jameson on board with the idea of her being a 'youthful perspective' on the new york news. she has been covering everything having to do with the superhuman registration act, especially things having to do with spider-man. she's a very driven girl, focused on proceeding through this man's world with a blazing trail. she would have gotten some negative attention for the point of view she expresses with her articles in the bugle, mostly from pro-reg supporters.
harry has been best friends with peter parker ever since they were both in seventh grade. since that day they've had one another's backs through thick and thin. apart from that they have run into troubling times, as harry has watched peter and mj come closer and he was never much of a fan of gwen when she was alive. added to that was how much norman, his father, and peter bonded over science.
following norman's unusually fortunate corporate takeover; harry has taken a more active role in the company and helping his father, who has set his sights on bigger things. sadly, harry has been conflicting with his father's ideas and caused the rift between them to grow. along with that are worsening conditions between his and peter's friendship, the influence of the sokovia accords being at fault primarily. this has led to harry not being around the group as much in high school. harry believes that his father has been driven mad by spider-man and that the accords would prohibit 'heroes' from causing perfectly innocent people harm. using that platform, harry has become prominent in the public movement to register all heroes.
He aspires to one day join SHIELD and use his hacking callsign of Hobgoblin in a more official way.
she had no choice but to use those abilities when her father was imprisoned thanks to being set up by the kingpin. now, having put together a costume and useful equipment, she's out for revenge against the kingpin. the challenge of which has led her to searching for a helping hand from none other than spider-man.
he has always been pushed to the limit by his parents, which led directly to his poor treatment of peter parker. he eventually found himself in the mix with the escalating tensions that came with sokovia accords. being a big spider-man fan, he did not want to believe superheroes to be anything but on the up and up. he understood the concept of being misunderstood and has been very vocal about supporting them. he wants nothing more than to be an asset to the anti cause in any means he can find.
Following protocol, she kept what happened to his parents secret from Peter. After the death of her husband, she was left on her own to raise Peter. The financial troubles led her to move the both of them to an apartment while she worked to make ends meet. Nowadays, she can be found trying to get back out into the world with the little spare time she has, meanwhile she is seeking a new career path after attending night school for the passed number of years and getting a masters degree. She's an activist as well as a caretaker. Recently, she walked in on Peter changing into his Spider-Man costume and has been trying to process it ever since because grounding him for life doesn't seem to even graze the surface of necessary responses.
Along with that disdain is a true concern for the well being of humanity after the Battle of New York. It has sent his paranoia into overdrive and, ever since, he's been a major supporter of the Sokovia Accords and provides plenty of smear campaigns against any and all unsigned individuals that continue to operate. underneath all of that off putting attitude is someone who truly cares.
Having been in a situation beyond her control before, she strongly is against any version of giving up that liberty again. She ran into Spider-Man recently when he was evading capture and offered him sanctuary for a night. Since then, she has been like an older sibling toward him (especially with their endless debate about who came up with the "Spider-" name idea first.
